Mediterranean Delicacies - Calamata Style Olives

I have always loved olives. The salty, almost bitter-ness is something that I’ve never been able to resist. And thankfully for me, my husband and kids share that same love, with me. While shooting these olives, I would see little fingers creeping ever-closer to the bowl trying to snatch one. Luckily, my husband, Chris, uttered a “hey!!’ every now and then and I got to finish the shoot before they were all gobbled up! But once I packed the camera away, I’ve never seen olives dissapear so fast. Abigail & Aidan both grabbed handfulls of the olives and munched them as quickly as they could manage. A few yuuummmyyy’s and “this is delicious” (their favourite phrase) escaped through mouthfuls of olives and this is how I knew that Mediterranean Delicacies has fabulous olives. You see, before this, I had not tasted one because I wanted to shoot them first. I managed to grab a last one before they were finished and I share my children’s enthusiasm.

Mediterranean Delicacies - Calamata Style Olives

The Mediterranean Delicacies olives are salty and flavourful. What makes them different to other olives is that there is more than just ‘olive flavour’ going on there. It truly tastes like Greece in a bite and this is because of the garlic, herbs and spices they add to the brine the olives are soaked in. The result is incredibly delicious and it makes it very hard to take only one or two. Later, I’ll share the recipe in which I used these beautiful olives but for now I leave you with a few other recipes that these olives would work just perfectly in!
