Cook from the Heart : Food for every Mood

Cook from the heart

It feels like just yesterday that I shared the news about my second book with all of you and now it’s already available on the shelves of all the major bookstores around the country. How is it November already?!

Anyway, yes, Cook from the heart: Food for every Mood is finally available and I am ridiculously excited. I think having a second book is kind of like having a second child. With your first you over think everything and you plan everything to the last minute detail. With your second, you know what to expect and you know that you don’t have to sweat the small stuff. That’s why I was almost caught off-guard last week when my publicist said the books are on schedule for their release on the 1st of November. It feels like this year has just flown by (and I say this every year).

Kook uit die hart

So with that, I want to share the cover of Cook from the heart (Kook uit die hart in Afrikaans) with you. I am so beyond chuffed with it, even though I was terrified to be on the cover. A very special thank you to Albie Bredenhann who made me feel so at ease and took the most beautiful photos and Yolandi Herbst for her incredible make-up skills and my friend and hair stylist Cornel from Follicle Hair Atelier for making me look like a hair model every time I leave her salon.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a few behind-the-scenes posts (like the food photos I’ve shared here) with you as well as a few recipe videos we shot for the release of the book.
