Gnocci with Chorizo & Peas

 In Meat, Pasta

I saw the idea for this in the “Sarie Kos”. I didn’t really look at the recipe, just the pic but it looks pretty much exactly the same. I’m giving you my recipe for it because I probably added/left out some stuff. It was really delicious and something you can make in 20 minutes. Very satisfying and very delicious.

Serves 4-6

1kg Gnocci
1 Chorizo sausage, halved and sliced
1tsp Crushed Garlic
2 cups Frozen Peas
250ml Cream
250ml Milk mixed with 1tbsn Cornflour
1/2 tsp Paprika
Squeeze of Lemon Juice
Salt & pepper to taste

In a large saucepan, fry the Chorizo until crispy (no need for extra oil). Add the Garlic and fry for another minute. Add the Frozen Peas and sitr to coat with the oil from the Chorizo. Add the cream, milk mix, paprika and Lemon and allow to thicken. Check the seasoning and turn down the heat.

Cook the Gnocci in boiling water, and when they start floating to the top, scoop out with a slotted spoon and add to the sauce. Stir the gnocci in the sauce and allow it to absorb the sauce for 5 minutes. Serve hot with a scattering of fresh parsley.
