As a dedicated foodie, I find myself sometimes being sad that I don’t live in Cape Town. With it’s wonderful Wine Route, beautiful restaurants and foodie events galore, I feel very neglected in Gauteng. Yes, we have wonderful markets and fabulous restaurants here, but if you live in Cape Town, it’s just so much more acceptable to be a devout foodie.
So when I heard that Taste of Joburg would be back this year, I started salivating, dreaming about all the gorgeous food that will be on display and I got as giddy as a teenage girl at a first team rugby game when I heard about The Grolsch Beer Academy, The Johnny Walker Whisky Theatre and The Taste of Thailand zone. I immediately booked tickets for both myself and my husband, booked the kids in with my aunt for the day and I cannot WAIT for this incredible foodie event. If you follow the yelps of delight and the drool marks, you’ll probably see me there on Saturday, 2 October.
This remarkable festival will be bringing together the city’s most acclaimed restaurants and carefully selected exhibitors to attract 15 000 of Joburg’s most dedicated and sophisticated foodies. This year, Joburg’s most extravagant food festival will once again be held at the spectacular venue, Montecasino Outdoor Event Area.
From Thursday 30th September to Sunday 3rd October 2010, the city’s top restaurants and chefs will be serving a stunning selection of sample sized signature dishes to Taste of Joburg visitors. Riding high from the hugely successful Taste of Joburg 2009, this amazing food festival promises to be the culinary event of the year. Taste of Joburg brings together the city’s finest restaurants, award winning wineries, premium drink brands, niche food exhibitors and fantastic entertainment. If you love eating out, this is an opportunity too good to miss!
And now for the exciting part, I have 3 sets of Entrance Tickets along with a R100 meal voucher for Simply Asia in Clearwater Mall to give away. All you need to do to stand a chance of winning one of these give-aways, is to browse through the posts on this blog and find the 3 Taste of Joburg logo’s. Every logo will have a code on it. Find all 3 codes and e-mail them to me at [email protected] I will then be in contact with you with further arrangements.
To make it a bit easier, the 3 logo’s are hidden no more than 5 pages back from this post so you won’t be browsing all day, I promise!
