Ingredients

peeled and sliced into thin half moons

For the crumble topping
1
cup
flour
½
cup
rolled oats
1
cup
sliced almonds
3/4
cup
brown sugar

tsp
cinnamon
½
cup
melted butter
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C/390°F.
Melt the butter in an oven-proof skillet or pan. Add the apples, sugar, salt and vanilla.
Cook until the apples are starting to soften and their juices are starting to caramelize.
Combine all the crumble ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Top the apples with the crumble mixture.
Place in the oven and allow to bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
Remove from the oven and serve with ice cream.
