Ingredients
for the hot fudge sauce
1x 385g can sweetened condensed milk
1/2cupcreamwhipping/heavy
1/3cupcocoa powdersifted
1tablespoonbutter
150gmilk chocolatebroken into pieces
for the grilled bananas
4bananashalved lengthwise, skins kept on
2tablespoonssoft brown sugar
for the banana split sundaes
vanilla ice cream
whipped cream
cherries
fresh strawberries
Instructions
To make the hot fudge sauce, combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and melt together. Remove from the heat before it reaches boiling point and set aside.
Braai the bananas over medium-hot coals until they start to soften. The sugar will burn quickly so keep a close eye on them.
When the bananas are grilled, serve with scoops of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, drizzle with the hot fudge and add the strawberries and cherries.
