Ingredients needed

  • Chicken. I used skinless boneless chicken thighs. Bone-in chicken pieces (chicken wings/chicken drumsticks/bone-in chicken thighs) can be substituted but will require longer cooking time. Boneless chicken breasts can also be used but will cook in around 10-15 minutes.
  • Greek yogurt.
  • Garlic and ginger. Use fresh garlic cloves for the best flavor.
  • Spices: Garam Masala, chilli powder/cayenne pepper, turmeric, paprika, cardamom, cumin salt and black pepper.
  • Lemon juice. Lime juice can be used instead.

  2. Air fry: Spray your air fryer basket with a little oil or nonstick spray then add the chicken in a single layer. Air fry at 400°F/205°F for 25 minutes, flipping over half way through cooking.
  3. Serve: Once cooked, serve the chicken with rice, naan and salad garnished with fresh cilantro/coriander.

What to serve with tandoori chicken

We love this tandoori chicken recipe served with curry rice and naan. Paratha or roti are also delicious options. A simple tomato and cucumber salad is always a good idea with spiced dishes.
