One&Only Cape Town
When we decided to visit Cape Town on our recent family holiday, I was absolutely thrilled when the incredible people at the One&Only in Cape Town said they’d love for us to come experience the hotel and its facilities as a family. I’d been to the One&Only before (and it quickly became my favourite hotel in SA) so I was so excited to introduce my family to it. The kids spent every free moment in the KidsOnly section where they played games, painted and played with clay while C and I lounged around, drinking fancy latte’s and soaking in the luxury. This is what makes the One&Only so incredible. It’s, in my opinion, the very best hotel in Cape Town with every luxury you could want and need and every detail thought of but it’s also incredibly child friendly.
 
 
 
We stayed in a luxury Island villa with two queen beds and the most gorgeous views of the marina surrounding the island. The twins were spoiled with soft toys and a personalised note which shot their excitement levels through the roof. As is the case with all parents with small kids, I was worried about what we would be eating for dinner at the wonderful Reubens (one of 3 restaurants at the resort). Of course, the worry was for nothing as the team at Reubens have put together the most divine kids menu. Everything from a teeny, delicious cheeseburger to pasta with tomato sauce and ice cream with warm chocolate sauce. The twins loved the food and gobbled up every bite. The same happened at breakfast where they both practically inhaled a Pain au Chocolat and then proceeded to eat a plate each of the American style pancakes with fresh fruit and Mascarpone. C and I both had the Eggs Benedict which was, needless to say, absolutely delicious. A perfectly poached egg is a thing of beauty, I tell you. We were incredibly sad to leave and the twins immediately asked when we will be back. Soon, was the answer!

Heather, I completely agree. I think the staff at the O&O’s are phenomenal. They take such care to make you feel comfortable and I too would love to visit all of them one day.

Lovely! Looks like you all had a fabulous time. My husband and I went to the One & Only Palmilla for our honeymoon and to this day, we both agree that it remains the best hotel we have ever visited. The service
was impeccable. It’s like they know what you need before you anticipate even needing it! We hope to eventually visit all of the One & Only’s some day..
