How to make creamy chicken in tomato sauce

  1. Season the chicken: Place chicken breasts on a chopping board in front of you and with a sharp knife, carefully slice each in half resulting in two thin fillets. Drizzle with olive oil and season generously with salt, pepper and paprika on both sides.
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Make the tomato sauce: In the same pan, fry the onion, garlic and oregano in a splash of olive oil until soft and fragrant. Pour in the passata/tomatoes and cream. Season with salt and pepper and allow to simmer gently for 5 minutes. Add the Parmesan and stir in. Add the chicken back to the pan along with any resting juices and allow to simmer for another minute or two.
  4. Serve: Top with basil and serve.

  1. So yum !! I’ve made this twice already and I can’t get enough of it… I usually eat it with rice, it goes really nice :)) Surprisingly, even my fussy little sister liked it– and that’s saying alot! ♡♡

  2. At your convenience please visit an Australian based recipe website, you’ll observe, they contain very very few ads, if at all whereas ALL American recipe based websites have more ads than actual content…it’s very very sad.
Additionally we don’t have spelling mistakes in ours…. you are missing the “c” in cloves in the ingredients list.

    1. Hi Steve. Thanks for your condescending message. I am not American, actually. I am South African. And my blog has ads because it costs me quite a lot to run and provide free recipes for my readers. I pay staff salaries, hosting, email services, etc etc etc. For this website to continue doing this, I need to run ads. The other option is starting a subscription service in which readers pay a monthly fee which will make up for the ad income. Is that something you think would work?

Also, apologies for the spelling mistake. I am but a woman. Thank you so much for pointing it out.

      1. Well said, Alida, and well played.

Thank you for the delicious recipe. I APPRECIATE your time and effort in sharing it.
