Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges
These air fryer sweet potato wedges are my go-to when I want an easy side dish or snack. Sweet and creamy insides with crisp edges? Yes please!

Ingredients and Substitutions
- Sweet potatoes. I used smaller sweet potatoes that are easier to cut into wedges.
- Olive oil. Avocado oil is a good substitute.
- Spices: I used smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and salt. Cayenne pepper, ground cumin, red pepper flakes/chilli flakes, chili powder and pepper are all good with sweet potatoes. Feel free to substitute with any spice blend of your choice.
How to make sweet potato wedges in the air fryer
- Peel the sweet potatoes then using a sharp knife, slice each sweet potato in wedges. Do this by cutting each sweet potato in half, lengthwise, then cutting each half in 3-4 wedges. You can make air fryer sweet potato fries using this method too. Place in a large mixing bowl.
- Combine the spices in a small bowl then sprinkle the spice mixture over the sweet potatoes. Drizzle with oil then toss to coat.
- Transfer the sweet potatoes to the air fryer basket then air fry at 350°F/180°C for 15-20 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are soft and starting to caramelize around the edges. Flip the wedges over halfway through cooking to encourage even browning. Remove from the air fryer then garnish with fresh parsley (optional) and serve.
Can I make this ahead?
Yes, the sweet potatoes can be prepared in advance. Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days and reheat in the air fryer until hot and crisp.

These sweet potato wedges are a fantastic side dish or easy snack served with ketchup, ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce. We love it served with burgers, salmon, pork or steak.
