Air Fryer Italian Sausage
Air frying is my go-to method when cooking sausage. This Air Fryer Italian Sausage recipe is super simple and delivers juicy sausages cooked to perfection.
Ingredients and Substitutions
- Italian sausages. I use hot Italian sausage but this way of cooking works with any kind of sausage. Chicken sausage, turkey sausage or pork sausages will all work. It’s a great way of cooking sausage as they cook evenly without much mess.
How to cook Italian sausages in the air fryer
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F/180°C then add the sausage links to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 20 minutes until the sausages are golden brown and cooked through. Flip over halfway through cooking to ensure even browning and cooking.
- Remove from the air fryer then serve with your favorite side dishes.
Can I make this ahead?
Yes, you can air fry sausages up to 3 days in advance and keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Leftover sausage can also be kept in at the fridge for up to 3 days.
Serving Suggestions
These air fryer sausages are great served in hot dog buns, with peppers and onions or sliced and served in pasta dishes. You can also serve it with side dishes like mashed potatoes and vegetable sides like broccoli and green beans for a simple weeknight dinner.
