Easy One-Pan Creamy Garlic Chicken
We love this super easy one-pan creamy garlic chicken served with everything from bread to rice for a simple but delicious dinner.

Ingredients
- Chicken. I used boneless skinless chicken breasts but you can use chicken thighs too.
- Fresh garlic cloves.
- Olive oil.
- Smoked paprika
- Dried oregano.
- Chicken broth/chicken stock.
- Cream. Heavy cream/whipping cream.
- Soy sauce. Use Tamari or Coconut Aminos as alternative if you need this recipe to be gluten free.
- Lemon juice.
- Salt and black pepper.
How to make creamy garlic chicken
Place the chicken between two sheets of parchment paper then flatten with a meat mallet or rolling pin. Mix a few tablespoons of olive oil with the garlic, herbs and spices then rub over the chicken.
Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat then add the chicken and cook for 5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside. Melt a tablespoon of butter in the pan and add the whole garlic cloves. Cook until the garlic is golden brown the pour in the chicken stock. Allow to reduce by half then stir in the cream and soy sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes then add the chicken back to the pan with any of its resting juices. Simmer for another 5-7 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly and the chicken is fully cooked. Season with lemon juice, salt and pepper and serve.
Can I make this ahead?
The chicken (or any leftovers) can be made and kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a saucepan over medium-low heat until hot throughout.
What to serve with garlic chicken
This creamy chicken recipe is a great easy dinner served with mashed potatoes, rice or pasta but can easily be served with vegetables if you want a low carb or gluten free meal. Sautéed broccoli, Brussels sprouts or green beans are all good options.

- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
For the sauce
- 1 tbsp butter/oil
- 8 garlic cloves
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 cup cream
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1-2 tsp lemon juice
- salt and pepper to taste
