Air Fryer Frozen Pot Pies
Air fryer frozen pot pies is perhaps the easiest way to cook a comforting pot pie for dinner. Whether store-bought or prepared and frozen ahead, we love cooking frozen pot pies in the air fryer.

Although I always recommend cooking from scratch, the reality is that many of us don’t have the time to cook dishes like pot pies from scratch during the week. That’s where frozen pot pies come in so handy. When you want a comforting meal in less than 20 minutes, why wouldn’t you grab a frozen pie from the grocery store? And cooking frozen pot pies in the air fryer is so much quicker and easier than cooking them in the oven.

- Frozen pot pies. We love cooking frozen chicken pot pies or steak pies in the air fryer. Use any store-bought frozen pot pie of your choice. I also love meal prepping pot pies ahead, freezing them in foil containers and cooking them in the air fryer for a quick and easy dinner.
How to cook frozen pot pies in the air fryer
It’s as easy as placing the frozen pot pie in the air fryer basket then air fry at 380°F/190°C until the pastry is crisp and golden brown before serving. However, if your pie has a bottom crust, I would recommend removing the pie from its foil container and placing bottom-side up, in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to crisp the bottom too.


How long to cook pot pie in the air fryer
Cooked at 380°F/190°C, a frozen pot pie should take no longer than 15-17 minutes in the air fryer. You want to make sure the pastry is crisp and golden and the filling is hot throughout. I also like to flip the pie over if it has a bottom crust to make sure it’s crisp on the bottom too. Cooking time will depend on the size of the pot pie you are cooking.
Serving Suggestions
Pot pie is a delicious meal on its own but we love serving it with vegetables like peas, green beans or carrots. It’s also great served with a side of French fries or cheesy mashed potatoes.

Instructions
- Place the frozen pot pies in the basket of your air fryer.
- Cook at 380°F/190°C for 17-20 minutes until golden brown and hot throughout.
- If your pie has a bottom crust, remove it from the foil container and cook upside down for a few minutes to crisp the bottom.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve.
