Ingredients
Full recipe and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.
- Cream cheese.
- Mozzarella cheese. I used low moisture mozzarella cheese. Fresh mozzarella will release too much liquid during cooking.
- Parmesan cheese.
- Oregano.
- Basil.
- Pizza sauce.
- Salami / Pepperoni.
How to make pizza dip
- Make the dip mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine room temperature cream cheese with grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Add the oregano and basil then season with salt and pepper. Mix until everything is combined.
- Bake: Transfer the cheese mixture to a casserole dish (I used a pie plate, you can use any oven-proof dish) then top with the pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and salami. Place in a preheated oven and allow to bake for 10-15 minutes or until hot and melty. Remove from the oven and serve with baguette toasts.
What else can I add?
Use all your favorite pizza toppings for this dip. Add sauteed mushrooms and peppers, pitted olives, crispy bacon or sliced ham for more variety.
Can I make this in advance?
The pizza dip can be prepped completely then covered and refrigerated for up to 2 days. I wouldn’t recommend freezing this dip as the cheese’s texture will change once thawed. Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven before serving.
What to serve with pizza dip
- Baguette toasts.
- Pita / Bagel chips.
- Tortilla chips.
- Crudite.
- Breadsticks.
- Crackers.
