Move over Aperol Spritz, the Gin Spritz is here and it is so much more fabulous.
I am a big lover of gin and a good gin cocktail is the perfect way to celebrate, in my opinion. This grapefruit gin spritz is the perfect, easy cocktail. It’s refreshing and delicious and also perfect for this festive season as it is so easy to make a big batch for guests.
Using fresh grapefruit juice adds a lovely bitter tang to the spritz which goes so well with Victoria Amber Gin.
Twelve signature traditional and fynbos botanicals inspired by Prince albert, the gem of the Karoo, delicately augment Victoria Handcrafted Amber. Victoria Amber is a rich, aromatic gin with hints of fresh citrus, spice, juniper and delicate fynbos notes. With a golden amber color this gin is smooth on the palate with a dry finish, which makes it so perfect for a gin spritz cocktail.
How do you make a gin spritz?
Use excellent quality gin and add a shot of gin to an ice-filled glass. Top with two shots freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and top with sparkling wine/Prosecco, tonic water or soda water. Serve with a slice of fresh grapefruit and a sprig of fresh thyme.
