Air Fryer Bone In Pork Chops
Air fryer bone-in pork chops turn out perfectly juicy and tender, every time. You’ll never want to make pork chops a different way again!

Ingredients and Substitutions
You are going to LOVE this air fryer pork chops recipe. Cooking pork chops in the air fryer delivers perfectly golden, tender and juicy meat but it also cooks in only 15 minutes making this a total winner for weeknight dinners.
- Bone-in Pork chops. I used thick-cut pork chops for this recipe. A thicker cut chop will be much juicier and won’t be as tough as a thinner pork chop so ask your butcher to cut the chops around an inch/2.5cm thick. Boneless pork chops can also be used but will require less cooking time.
- Seasoning mix: I used smoked paprika, dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper. Any spices will work though. You can use/add ground cumin, cayenne pepper, ground mustard, bbq spice, garam masala/curry powder or dried herbs like thyme, sage, rosemary or parsley for more flavor.
- Olive oil.
- Lemon wedges, to serve.

How to air fry bone in pork chops
- Prepare the pork chops by patting them dry with paper towel. Combine the seasonings in a small bowl and sprinkle over both sides of the pork chops. Allow to rest for at least 10 minutes but ideally overnight in the fridge. This acts as a dry brine and delivers super juicy chops.
- Once you’re ready to cook, spray or brush the pork chops with olive oil then add to the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 400°F/205°C for 15 minutes, turning over halfway through cooking until the pork chops are golden brown and tender. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your chops. The internal temperature should reach 140°F/60°C on a meat thermometer. The meat will be opaque white but super juicy. Remove from the heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes (to allow the juices to reabsorb into the meat) before serving with a squeeze of lemon juice.
How do you keep pork from drying out in an air fryer?
The trick is not over-cooking them in the first place. Using a meat thermometer will ensure you take the chops out of the air fryer at the right temp guaranteeing juicy pork chops. Another way is to use thick-cut chops – this allows the chops to become perfectly golden brown without drying out the meat.
Can I make this ahead?
The pork chops can be marinated and kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Leftovers can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or microwave until hot throughout.

Serving Suggestions
We love air fryer pork chops served with a variety of side dishes. Creamy mashed potatoes, green beans and baked onions are our current favorites but crispy roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, sautéed mushrooms and broccoli are all great options. For a low carb/keto meal, serve a big arugula salad or some sautéed zucchini with the chops.
