Easy Air Fryer Green Beans
This 10-minute air fryer green beans recipe is the easiest way to cook this versatile vegetable. We love it served alongside our favorite dinner recipes as a delicious and healthy side dish.

Ingredients and Substitutions
- Fresh green beans. French green beans or string beans.
- Extra virgin olive oil. Melted butter or vegetable oils like avocado oil can be used instead.
- Spices: I used garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Other seasonings like onion powder, lemon pepper and red pepper flakes/chilli flakes are all delicious with green beans.
- Fresh lemon juice.

How to cook green beans in the air fryer
- Trim and season: Trim the green beans by cutting the stems off then add to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle over the olive oil and season then toss together until the beans are coated.
- Air fry: Transfer the seasoned beans to the air fryer basket then air fry at 400°F/205°C for 7-9 minutes or until the beans are fork tender and starting to brown. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you might have to do this in batches. If you want your beans cooked more, allow another 2-3 minutes of cooking time.
- Serve: Remove and serve with a generous squeeze of fresh lemon juice. You could also grate over some fresh lemon zest or parmesan cheese right before serving.
Can I make this ahead?
Any leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat in the microwave oven or the air fryer until hot.
