Easy Halloween Pasta
This easy Halloween pasta recipe is ghoulish, fun and perfect for an easy Halloween dinner.

Spaghetti and eyeballs is so great for Halloween and so easy to make. I often use store-bought meatballs and jarred sauce (especially great if you want a cute meal in a pinch). For this recipe I used my air fryer meatballs, marinara sauce and al dente spaghetti. The meatballs get topped with mozzarella and sliced olives to resemble eye balls which get placed on nests of spaghetti. Ghoulish, fun and perfect for this time of the year.
Ingredients and Substitutions
- Meatballs. I used my air fryer meatballs recipe but you can use any meatballs of your choice. This recipe also works with turkey meatballs.
- Marinara sauce. Use any tomato sauce of your choice.
- Pasta. I used normal spaghetti but squid ink pasta would work so well too. Any long pasta of your choice will work.
- Mozzarella cheese. I used baby mozzarella balls (bocconcini) cut into slices.
- Sliced black olives.
How to make Halloween Pasta
- Cook the meatballs according to recipe instructions – the air fryer is so great for this. Alternatively bake the meatballs in the oven until golden brown. Add a piece of mozzarella cheese to each meatball then cook for another 2-3 minutes until just melted. You don’t want the cheese to brown at all. Add a slice of black olive to each meatball to create the eyeballs.
- Boil the pasta in a large pot of water according to package instructions until al dente then drain and toss with the sauce.
- Assemble the dish by twirling the pasta onto a serving platter, creating little nests. Add the meatballs and serve.

Serving Suggestions
We love serving spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and a simple arugula salad but other vegetable side dishes like green beans or broccoli can also be served.
