Air Fryer Steak: Quick and Delicious
Craving steak but short on time? This Easy Air Fryer Steak recipe is the answer! Cooking steak in the air fryer is a game changer. It’s fast, mess-free and delivers perfectly tender and juicy steak. This easy steak recipe is perfect for beginners and experienced cooks alike.
I chose to marinate this steak in a simple Balsamic vinegar marinade but feel free to use any steak marinade of your choice. Homemade BBQ sauce would also be delicious. Use a thick-cut steak like ribeye, New York Strip or filet mignon. A thick-cut steak will be perfectly cooked on the inside while being beautifully golden and caramelized on the outside.
How To Cook Steak In Air Fryer

1. Marinate
Combine olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, honey, salt and black pepper in a small bowl and mix well. Pour over the steak and allow to marinate for at least 5 minutes but ideally overnight in the fridge.

2. Air Fry
Pre-heat the air fryer then place the marinated steak in the basket of your air fryer. Cook the steak until done to your preference.
- 11-12 minutes for medium-rare steak.
- 13-14 minutes for medium steak.
- 15-16 minutes for well done steak.

Remove the steak from the air fryer and allow to rest for 5 minutes then slice against the grain and serve with your favorite side dishes. We love steak with baked potato, simple vegetables like green beans or asparagus or oven-baked fries. Add a creamy sauce like mushroom sauce or pepper sauce.

Notes
Can I make this ahead?
Steak is definitely best served immediately after cooking but any leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. What type of steak is best for Airfryer?
The best steak to use for air frying is rib eye, New York Strip, Sirloin or Rump. I also like using Filet Mignon but since it’s such a lean cut of meat, the cooking time will be less. Follow my recipe for Air Fryer Filet Mignon for the perfect end result.Nutrition
