Air Fryer Tortilla Chips
Making homemade tortilla chips has never been easier. These air fryer tortilla chips can be made in less than 10 minutes with only two ingredients!

Ingredients and Substitutions
- Tortillas. I used flour tortillas but corn tortillas are great too and make a firmer, more textured tortilla chip.
- Oil. I used extra virgin olive oil spray but avocado oil or vegetable oil can be used too. Cooking spray can be used too.
- Seasoning: This is optional but spices add great flavor to the finished chips. Salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder are all good options. Cinnamon sugar is great for a sweet option.


How to make tortilla chips in the air fryer
- Cut: Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut the tortillas into 4-8 pieces each. I like cutting them into quarters for larger chips but if you want more of a traditional chip, cutting the tortillas into 6-8 pieces will be more suitable.
- Air fry: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F/205°C. Place the tortillas in the air fryer basket in a single layer and spray with oil. Sprinkle over spices, if using. Air fry the tortillas for 2-3 minutes per side until crisp and golden. Keep an eye on them as they can burn quickly. Remove from the air fryer and repeat with the remaining tortillas. You’ll likely need to air fryer these in batches to prevent overcrowding the basket.
Can I make this ahead?
Yes! These easy air fryer tortilla chips are great to make ahead. Allow the air fried chips to cool then transfer to an airtight container and keep at room temperature for up to a week.

Serving Suggestions
We love tortilla chips in the same way we would use store-bought chips. As snacks served with dips like salsa and guacamole or as nachos topped with cheese and your favorite toppings.
